Recently the white house authorized a photo op of Air Force One flying around the Statue of Liberty. The public was not notified of this flyover and it sent people scurrying for cover. 911 was flooded with calls from panicing citizens reliving the terror they still remember from September 11, 2001.

The issue of not notifying the public that a large passenger type jet flying through the buildings and surroundings of New York has already been well hashed out. The addition of two F16 fighters flying directly behind the mammoth jet certainly had to raise the panic level of those citizens.

The White House has now released cost estimates of $328,835 for this event. The pictures weren't even going to be released! Why in the world would we need to spend this much money for pictures that weren't even going to be released? In a time when we have record spending and record joblessness, why are we spending 1/3 of a million dollars on pictures?

This is yet another example of howthis Administration is wasteful with the taxpayers money and seems to have no regard for how hard people work to earn their paychecks.

George W would never have done something so stupid or foolish. Like it or not, George W has more common sense than Obama. Thanks for all the "change" BO.

Why must the media hate?

For months we listened to all the conservative bashing in the media. It seemed like most every story during the presidential campaign was very direct in explaining that conservative = bad and liberalism = good. The conservatives discussed it quietly among themselves. There were no demonstrations, no burning of cities, no riots, no nothing! We just quietly endured and hoped that we would all show our solidarity on that cold day in November when we voted for our 44th president.

This week, April 15, people (mostly conservative I'm sure) banded together for a peaceful and patriotic assembly which we referred to as a TEA party. (Taxed Enough Already) People held signs which read things like "Socialism smells like BO", "Washington has overdrawn our checkbooks", "Stop the reckless spending" and other opinions/statements. People sang patriotic songs, we listened to people from our government talk about taxes and spending, we marched (peacefully). There were no overturned cars, no fires burning, no breaking of windows, throwing of objects or any other action destructive. This was simply a time for common citizens to band together and show solidarity. The liberals were probably beside themselves because I can't remember any conservative demonstrations on a local level in years.

The same week, the Department of Homeland Security releases a report that was recently de-classified. It indicates that conservative thinkers (bitter clingers---clinging to their guns, religion and money) are dangerous and have a high chance of committing terror in the US. Folks, I'm a bitter clinger and a conservative. I'm probably one of the more conservative people that you know. However, I'm not a danger to our county. I'm not a terror threat. I'm a former police officer that was sworn to uphold the laws of our land. I'm a Christian (Lutheran) believer that holds his religion in high regard. Therefore, I hold the Ten Commandments in high regard and do all I can to follow them. Folks, I can't imagine the whack job that put this report together. From the interviews I've seen involving Janet Nopolitano, it was probably her.

This is a trying time for conservatives, we can all see that. It will likely be even more difficult in the coming years. I have faith however that conservatism will grow. I've often said that people often experiment with liberalism when they are young (18-25) but we all eventually grow up and see the light. Those that don't begint to see things conservatively are the ones with chips on their shoulders, long hair because they have always revolted, smoke dope quite regularly, can't hold a steady job, etc. Of course, there are exceptions to that, but tell me you can't pick a liberal out at work. 9/10 you'll hit it dead on.

This is getting too long, but I could go for hours on this. I'll revisit this in a couple of days.

I wish I could take credit for this. I received this in email and decided I had to post it. It's simply too damn good to not share. Enjoy my friends.

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists, Obama supporters, et al: We have stuck together since the late 1950s, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot, and will not ever agree on what is right, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile, chalk it up to irreconcilable differences, and go our own way.

Here is a model dissolution agreement: Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes. We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA, and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move them). We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart, and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies, and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEOs, and rednecks. We'll keep the bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood. You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.

You can have the peaceniks and war protestors. When our allies or way of life are under assault, we'll provide them job security. We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values...You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. But we will no longer be paying the bill. We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks, and over-sized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare, if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya, or We Are the World. We'll practice trickle-down economics, and you can give trickle-up poverty its best shot.

Since it often so offends you we'll keep our history, our name, and our flag and our GOD and prayer. Would you agree to this? If so please pass it along to other like minded patriots, and if you do not agree, just hit delete and hang on. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR on who will need whose help in 15 years.

Grim predictions

The writer of this essay is Jerry Molen, an Academy Award winning Hollywood Producer, who produced Jurassic Park, Hook, Rain Man and many more classy movies, and who won the Academy Award for Schindler's List. Jerry is one of the very few conservatives in Hollywood - but wants to include Democrats. He says:

We are about to make the Mother-of-All- Mistakes, because the Republican Party gave us no reliable alternative. If the conservative movement does not rally behind the only alternative left to us, this country will become a true Socialist State within the next two Presidential terms.

Ladies and Gentleman, this is the most grave situation this nation has faced in my lifetime. We just experienced an overhyped, outrageous primary election season that has left me wondering where the heads of our citizens are hiding - must be someplace where the sun doesn't go very often.

At one time in my life I was a determined, dedicated and ever-loyal registered Democrat. Then something happened - Lyndon Baines Johnson - that turned my life around and gave me pause for the veracity of a party that lives and feeds off of the most unfortunate among us. Some of them are in their positions in life by their own choosing, others by outside circumstance. But always, always there was a door open to them, to reach for new heights, achieve new goals, change their lives for the better. Similarly, there have always been the bottom feeders, doing what they could to take advantage of those who had not or have not seen better days, nor realized that they in fact were the masters of their own destiny - these unfortunates had come to believe that they were dependent on people in Washington, who would look out for and take care of them. They waited and still wait for all those promised freebies.

Most people don't reflect upon the fact that the Democrats ruled Washington for over 40 years; it wasn't until 1994 when the so-called Gingrich Revolution changed - but only for a while. These same people do not realize that it was the Democrats who created the failed policies of the entitlement programs that are now falling apart before our eyes.

Do not think I find the Republicans blameless in all this. They, too, suffer from the ego and greed built into our system. But in the past few months I have listened with growing horror to the railings of the left, calling for yet more giveaways, more promises of a proverbial 'free lunch.' What sums up my feelings, why I am appalled by those in political power is contained within a quote by basketball legend and talk show host Charles Barkley:
'Poor people have been voting for Democrats for the last fifty years....and they are still poor.'

Now, with our elections, come yet more new promises of 'change:' 'change we can believe in,' 'hope for the future'. But if you really, I mean REALLY listen to what the new messiah is asking for, it is not 'change of policy' or 'change for the better' - this is a warning that he wants our change. And the change you will get will not be the cha nge you expected or wanted.

I leave you my predictions of what will happen if the junior Senator from Illinois becomes President - especially if the House and Senate are veto-proof Democrat:
1. Strict gun laws, though he promised he would not.
2. "In God We Trust" will be removed from all currency.
3. He will renege on his pledge to Israel and leave them to the wolves of Islam.
4. Hillary Clinton will be named to the Supreme Court.
5. Tax rates will surge to the highest levels in 30 years.
6. Capital gains tax will be at least double current levels.
7. Retired Army General Wesley Clark will be named Secretary of Defense.
8. Your borders will be open to all comers - especially from the Middle East and South America.
9. Amnesty will be granted to all illegals in the U.S, regardless of status or even gang membership (think MS-13).
10. Our presence in Iraq will come to an abrupt end - with tragic results though their citizens and devastating consequences to our military.

My predictions will not sit well with some people - the best we could hope for is that I am wrong. Any bets?

I don't know who said it first, but the old statement there is a little truth in every joke is just plain true. I will be the first person to stand up and tell the tree hugging liberal democrats that these aren't really jokes in my eyes---they're true! I'm so sick of all the liberal rhetoric in todays society. I'm sick of seeing all of the gothic people with piercings from head to toe just "Expressing themselves". I'm sick of hearing all of the whining about people not being responsible for their crimes because of their past. I'm sick of all the dems looking at conservatives as evil because we actually employ our common sense.

Now, knowing my strong conservative values you probably wonder why the title of this entry. It's easy, they're idiots! They LOVE Obama yet they put this magazine cover out there showing all of the fears that many "average Joe" voters have. However, how stupid can they be? They reinforce all of these thoughts that people have even though they don't want anyone remembering them. This certainly helps freshen them up in our minds and even ties them together in one extremely funny cartoon. Seeing the mentality of the retards following this "rockstar" to Pennsylvania Ave, it's know wonder they didn't think this whole scenario through.

Folks, I forget who said it, but this hits it on the head: "A taxpayer voting for Barack Obama is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders".

Don't waste your vote this year. Vote Republican and just wish your vote was for Regan or Bush. You have to remember, anybody is better than Obama. I really loathe this guy.

Punctuality...how hard is it?

As I sit in a room alone waiting for my peers to arrive for a meeting that I didn't schedule, my BP rises. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I still operate under the assumption that when you're invited or host a meeting, you show up...on time.

I'm not sure what the issue is with other people. Is it irresponsibility? Immaturity? Disorganization?

I can tell you what it is for me...irritating.

For now, I can assure you that this type of unprofessional behavior helps keep New Belgium Brewery (www.newbelgium.com) alive and well. At least it causes me to contribute just a little more.

Medical marijuana - good, bad and totally ridiculous

I’m not excited about the idea of anyone cultivating marijuana even for medical reasons. However, I do empathize for those that suffer from cancer, chronic pain, etc. I also understand that many of these individuals truly need a drug to help them deal with the terrible side effects of the condition they suffer from.

Allow me to now step up on my soapbox.

Who in the hell ever crafted the current medical marijuana laws must have been smoking, drinking, licking, eating and bathing in crack. The way the current law is constructed, at least in the great state of Colorado, any tom, dirt bag or hairball can have a grow operation if it is for medical marijuana. I’m curious why will let people grow marijuana in their home LEGALLY, but if I were to try and produce codeine, oxycodone, hydrocodone, or some other controlled (yet available by rx) drug is not legal. We obviously have some serious rocket scientists putting these bills together.

Now, here is what really makes me wonder about our law makers’ credibility. It’s best demonstrated by relaying a scenario that actually played out twice in the last month here in Colorado.

We have a private individual that is growing marijuana in their home which is to be used to sell to other people that have an RX for medical marijuana. Both individuals are medical marijuana patients who are growing for their personal use as well. The problem is that BOTH OF THESE RETARDS FAILED TO OBTAIN A LEGALLY REQUIRED STATE CERTIFICATE TO GROW THE PLANTS. Of course, you know what comes next. The police raid the home, they find that things are not in order and are not being done according to the law. They remove the “contraband” which consisted of several plants at various stages of their growth. The plants are booked into evidence where they die because the police department does not have a grow operation. (Duh!)

The city attorney’s office decides to drop all charges against both defendants after they obtain the proper documentation. The defendants (retards I was talking about earlier) are mad because their marijuana plants have died. They both hire attorneys and the attorneys sue. Both municipalities are on the hook for several hundred thousand dollars in “restitution”.

What is wrong with society today?

People like this are the ones that make medical marijuana patients look bad. We need to overhaul the system to take away this “opportunity” for the law breaking people in our communities to have these grow operations. It should be limited (just like other drugs) to pharmaceutical companies that are monitored, that must account for drug quantities, that have their drugs tested by the federal government and can only distribute to legal pharmacies.

Why would anyone believe it is ok to put prescription drugs in a vending machine?

Why should I be able to produce a drug and sell it when I’m not a licensed pharmacy? Are we trying to change all of the medical regulations and put the pharmacists out of business?

The problem is simple. Too much liberal think in this fine country of ours. It’s like Ted Kennedy is standing on his front porch urinating on the rest of us. Isn’t that a sick thought?

Give me some feedback folks. Am I off base here? Of course not! It's the liberals that are off base!
